Smoothie Recipe: 1st edition

In a previous blog post, I expressed my interest to start juicing. However, I wasn't very interested in dropping some cash on a pricey juicer during my time at home and after talking to my mom we both agreed that there's actually a lot of fruit and vegetable parts wasted in juicing. Does that mean I'll never do it or I think it's bad? Absolutely not. It's just not for me right now.

So as any person with a lot of time on their hands would do, I pulled out the blender and started experimenting.

I concocted this absolutely delicious smoothie and I hope you'll try it.
Here is the not so scientific recipe:
On a side note, I had a blast throwing together different fruits and vegetables at home to create quick healthy meals in smoothie form. Try it yourself and give me some of your favorite recipes.

-Two handfuls of strawberries (washed and sliced)
-One handful of blueberries
-Two handfuls of baby spinach (or use baby kale or red and green chard...or all of the above)
-Peach (skinned and sliced)
-Two tablespoons of chia seeds
-A squirt or two of local honey
-Two handfuls of ice

Voila!
