Italy, Here We Come!

Sorrento (source)
So, it's been two weeks and my computer is STILL at the Apple store in Chicagoland getting fixed (don't get me started). Luckily, Casey is visiting and has so graciously let me use his computer again to post this quick update.

While I haven't been busy blogging, I have been busy planning our next adventure...

We got into this industry in order to travel domestically, but with the dream of traveling internationally. We've decided to take some time this summer, step away from work and achieve the goal we've set out to conquer.

And instead of backpacking throughout Europe, we've decided to focus on one country to really soak in the culture, hopefully pick up a bit of the language and explore everything this beautiful country has to offer. Our 16-day extravaganza will begin in Rome, then we'll head south to the Amalfi Coast stopping in Naples for a day and staying in Sorrento. While we are in Sorrento, we plan on taking a ferry to the island of Capri. After basking in the sun and frequenting the quaint villages, we'll head north to Tuscany and Venice for two days each.

Here's where you come in...

We have a few books, and we have the wonderful worldwide web, but we would love some tips on traveling abroad, must-haves, must-see, etc. Feel free to leave any suggestions in the comments section. We greatly appreciate any help we may receive!

If you had 16 days to spend somewhere, where would you go and who would you take with you?

If we could sneak you in our backpack to Italia, what parts of Italy or what attractions would you want to see the most?
This may sound silly, but if you've seen Spirit of the Marathon II, I am super stoked to dine in at Mimmo's Pizzeria Il Podista in Rome and hopefully meet Mimmo and Domenico! ;)
