Torrey Pines

Starting yesterday and for the rest of this week we will be doing nothing but TCB.

Taking Care of Business that is...as we prepare to launch our tour on Wednesday, January 23. Luckily, we are staying near Torrey Pines so as we waited for our food truck to be delivered, we went over to check out one of America's most beautiful golf courses.

We are planning on attending one of the practice rounds (Monday or Tuesday) for the Farmers Insurance Open starting January 21-27 just like we did for the 93rd PGA Championship. The practice rounds are the best because not only are they cheaper to get into but you don't have to fight the obnoxious crowds and you can get up close and personal with some of your favorite professional golfers.

(Preparation for the tournament is already underway with signage posted and tents constructed for media, merch, etc.)

Also, I know Casey is dying to play at Torrey Pines so I'm sure he is going to make 18-holes happen one way or another on one of our off days and I think this mini excursion just sealed the deal for him that $180 (yowza!) will totally be worth it.

Meanwhile, I'd rather go hiking/running through Torrey Pines Natural Reserve. Either way, we will definitely make time for both while we're here.

Alright, this is a short post...we hope you enjoyed the photos! I'm off to run 6 miles before we head out to dinner in the Gaslamp Quarter or Gaslamp District?

QUESTION FOR YOU: SAN DIEGANS, IS IT GASLAMP DISTRICT? OR GASLAMP QUARTER? OR BOTH?

IF YOU COULD GOLF AT ANY COURSE IN THE U.S., WHERE WOULD IT BE?
Casey: 1. Augusta (keep dreamin'),  2. Pebble Beach...and he says Torrey Pines would be in his Top 5.
