The Pie Hole

It's been awhile since I've blogged on Roaming Free of Charge and per request of Casey's brother, Andy, it's time to get crackin' and update this blog. It's my goal to get this site up-to-date by the end of this week. With that said, here's a flashback to a pizza joint we enjoyed in Salt Lake City--The Pie Hole.

Situated less than a mile from our Salt Lake City hotel, the Residence Inn, the Pie Hole was just that...a hole in the wall pie haven. Bright colors surround the walls and in the back you'll find old school arcade games. Pizza is sold by the slice featuring quirky flavors like potato bacon and ice cold PBR is available for $1 all day everyday.

Case and I opted for a BBQ pizza with sausage....

At first we thought they got our order wrong as the BBQ sauce was a light orange color and looked more like their "hot sauce" than their BBQ sauce. Once we sunk our teeth in, it was love at first bite. The sauce was indeed BBQ and it was very light and delectable versus most heavy barbeque sauces. Overall, it was just what the doctor ordered after a long weekend in Park City, Utah.

We'd recommend dining in at the Pie Hole instead of delivery as our delivery experience a few weeks later wasn't as memorable as the 'za that was served during our inaugural visit.
